Cafe Milano sits in the thick of Berkeley's foot traffic near UC, serving straightforward coffee and baked goods to students, faculty, and neighbors since before most of the current student body arrived. The space is cramped and loud—you'll stand in line, order at the counter, and squeeze past others to claim a spot at one of a few small tables. People come back because the coffee is consistent, the staff moves quick, and it's been here long enough that showing up feels like habit.
